Bill Wood
Managing Partner
Bill is a second-generation drilling and pump design specialist with over 35 years of experience in the water well industry. Bill’s father was a successful man in the industry for over 50 years, and Bill grew up from a young age learning the right way to take care of customers and what it took to be a leader in the industry. He lives by the quote his father told him, “As long people drink water, we will have a job.” – knowing how essential water is in all our day-to-day activities, Bill ensures that every customer we work with is properly equipped to receive water. Bill started Western Drilling DBA The Pump Company in 1992 after gaining knowledge and becoming an expert in the industry. The company has grown into its current organization through Bill’s hard work and expertise.
Jason Holzgrafe
Managing Partner
Jason stepped into the industry in 1997, starting as a driller’s helper, then moved to the domestic pump service and repair side of the business as an installation technician. Jason has continued his education in the industry by attending many manufacturing schools to design and maintain our company’s pump systems. He is an expert in his field and genuinely enjoys being able to provide the customer with their best options. Jason has continued to grow as an individual in his career. More importantly, since day one, Jason has ensured that the company is thriving and continues to grow. In 2008, he became a full partner after helping the company build its first commercial drill rig, expand its customer base, and manage a growing company. Jason has always been one to “get it done.” Although he is a managing partner, he will get out there with his crew and lead by example – he will work hours on end to ensure our customers are well taken care of, happy, and with water.
Chad Cahill
Managing Partner
Chad has been working hard in the industry since 2000 when he started as a helper on the pump truck. Through his hard work and dedication, he became an operations manager, overseeing the quality control and scheduling of the crews. Chad’s passion for the industry grew tremendously, and he wanted to be an expert within the industry, not only on the pump side but also on the drilling side. This passion and desire drove Chad to learn everything he could; he traveled across the states sharpening his skills, finetuning his understanding, and absorbing knowledge – Chad is not one to be content and settle; he day in and day out continues to better himself, his crew, and the company. He continues to study, gain more knowledge, help customers, and lead in the industry. He was one of the first to run top-of-the-line successfully and new coming rigs in the industry – the Foremost DR; he has worked on high-profile jobs for the government, worked with mines throughout the states, and overall jobs of all sizes. He has an indisputable work ethic, knowledge, and skills, and in 2020, he became a full partner with Western Drilling.
